Joiner and Zwart Dentistry is adding a member to our on call / fill-in pool of dental hygienists.  As a practice that values a work / life balance, having fill-in hygienists allows our full-time hygienists to take PTO and sick days without forcing patients to delay needed oral health care.  Our professionals have a passion for partnering with our patients to achieve oral health and beautiful smiles. The hygiene team is critical in allowing the practice to achieve this goal.

The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while being attentive, outgoing, and willing to put others before themselves. This person can complete tasks quickly and efficiently and is willing to learn this extremely important position.

Position Summary:

The Dental Hygienist is the chief preventive provider of the Practice.  This team member motivates, educates, and provides excellent treatment.  Under indirect supervision, the Dental Hygienist will remove hard and soft deposits from teeth and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease.  He or she will educate patients on oral hygiene, provide preventative dental care, take and develop X-rays, or apply fluoride or sealants.  By discovering and documenting areas of failure, both periodontally and restoratively, he or she facilitates the dentist’s diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

Hours: On call / fill-in basis

Salary: Varies depending on experience
